Kayla smiled and watched as Layla bounced around behind her.It had been a few days since Layla chose her, and now Kayla felt like it was time for her to meet someone special.
"Sunshine~" Kalya called.
Layla now knew that sound was meant for here and trotted over to the adult with a smile.
Kayla smiled and led her daughter around to the back of the house. Her farm was small, but stable.
Layla looked astonished at the other animals here.
She then froze at a familiar sound.
Kayla smiled and led her to her Rattler cow, who was napping.
Layla hesitated as she saw them. Another rattler! A real one! Were they friendly like mama?!
Kayla smiled and gently pet its head. "Time to wake up girl~"
The cow huffed and slowly opened its eyes, looking to both Gros.
Kayla smiled and looked to Layla. "Look Sunshine, a rattler. Don't you want to say hi?"
But Layla was in pure shock.
This Rattler was like her mother! But Kayla didn't look at all like it!
Layla whimpered and looked to her feet.
Her paws looked more like Kayla's than Mama Rattler's!
But mama rattler was a rattler!
She was a rattler!
Wasn't she?!
Layla made noises of confusion and distress that were neither cow, or gro.
Kayla took a step closer. "It's ok Sunshine..." She tried to calm her.
Layla bleated an shook her head.
Was she a rattler, or a gro?!
Was everything she knew a lie?!
