Orion smiled. "You have beautiful eyes..."
Kosta smooshed her reddening cheeks a little, "Sounds like we both found things we like. Thank you-- You're honestly- ridiculously sweet- I've never felt so many butterflies"
oh no she was rambling, you made her really happy Orion.
Orion smiled and giggled. "We'll...never get to the restaurant like this.."
"Well we can't have that now can we?" She held out her claw for him, "I'll just have to hold out on flirting with you until we get there."
Orion smiled and took her hand. "Ok...but that might be hard...Fluffy bunbun~"
It would be hard indeed, because ever little pet name, and cutesy way of saying it chipped away at Kosta's self control. "Yes it will, Love bug, but we have to try!"
Orion giggled, but started walking with her.
"Um...before we..go...uh..." He glanced away.
Kosta looked up with a curious expression and big eyes, "Whats up?"
"Uh...." Orion looked to the floor and let her go.
"I...Uh.....I'm not.....I wasn't....I..."
Color Kosta worried. She swiped her hair out of her face, "Orion whats wrong?"
Orion swallowed and kept his eyes down. "Im sure...by my voice...but..."
He took a deep breath and clenched his eyes shut.
"W-will you be bothered...that i'm not...a bio guy?"
Kosta was a little confused, she squeezed Orion's hand a little, "Not a guy? I don't understand."
She didn't seem weirder out or anything, just genuinely concerned why he was so rattled.
Orion didnt look at her.
He couldn't bring himself too.
"I...technically.... I...was born as...a female." He said quietly. "I'm...trans."
It took a hot minute to clue in but when she did her eyes widened.
But not in disgust or anything!
A big smile spread across her face.
"I didn't even realize! You pass very well!" She held his cheek with free hand and pouted, "Why on earth would that bother me? I won't think any less of you for being trans. You're still the same sweet man to me regardless."
Orion's eyes widened as he started at the other in disbelief. He opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out, so he closed it again.
His eyes watered slightly as he puled Kosta in for a tight hug.
She was a bit surprised by the hug at first but melted right into it, hugging him back, "Is that what's been bothering you, hon?"
Orion didn't let go, but flinched. "It always bothers me....Its why I use sign language...My voice isn't mine....It's a girls."
Kosta flushed a little in a guilty sort of embarrassment, "Did I upset you when I said I liked your voice earlier? Was that okay? "
Orion was silent for a moment.
"....I feel like I can talk to you..." He said, his voice lowered slightly to try and sound more masculine. "I just...don't want to talk to others...I don't want them knowing i'm trans..."
Kosta smiled, rubbing his back lightly, "I understand Sweet pea. It also kind of makes me feel special. Like I'm someone lucky who gets to hear it." She started to giggle a little, "You may need to help me brush up on my sign language a bit so we can talk around others."
Orion nodded and leaned back to look at her. His eyes held tears, but he was smiling.
She still had a few happy giggles bubbling up in her chest, having an issue snuffing them out because she was so happy. She reached up and wiped a tear from his eye, "Those better be happy tears"
Orion nodded. "They are." He said quietly, taking her hand.
She gave his hand a squeeze, "I'm glad. I don't think I could forgive myself if I made you sad. Do you feel better about telling me?"
Orion nodded and blushed. "N-no...'surprises' for later...." He quickly glanced away and coughed. "Then....I guess you guessed....Bella is....mine. She doesn't know though.."
Kosts felt a blush rising to her cheeks as well but tried to snuff it out with the subject change, "Doesn't know she's yours or that your trans? I'm hoping its the latter"
Orion shrunk slightly. "She doesn't know that im...technically....I had her egg." He blushed a lot. "I told her...her mother gave her to me....."
She rubbed Orion's arm in an attempt to comfort him and ease that fluster, "Hey-- that's okay too! You don't have to come right out the gate and tell her you laid her or anything. It may be a conversation you can have when she's older but for now you did well with that you had." Her expression softened, "But it does explain to me why she's looking for her mother."
Orion nodded and looked to the ground.
He was silent for a good long time, then looked back to Kosta. "T-thank you...for not judging me."
The silence worried her. She wasn't all that experienced with other adult gros. What if she made things worse?? The gears in her head were turning so much if Orion looked hard enough he'd probably see smoke coming out of her ears.
His words cut her fussing immediately and a smile came back to her face, "Why would I judge you? If anything you're kind of my hero right now. You're brave and kind and regardless of the struggles you have haven't let them affect your daughter or those around you. You're incredible!"
Orion stood there a moment, looking star struck.
All at once, he moved his paw to cup her cheek before leaning in and kissing her.
While unexpected a kiss was, it was the farthest thing from unwanted. Kosta had a giddy little smile on her face as she kissed him back; delighted by his happy and positive reactions to her onslaught of complements.
Orion stayed like that a few moments before pulling away. His face was still very red as he chuckled shyly.
"U-uh...thank you." He said, then winced at how stupid that probably sounded. "U-uh i mean-not thanks-"
No! that was even worse!
"I-i mean...Uh...You kiss good." He said, desperately trying not to explode of embarrassment.
Kosta was just as red.
His floundering for words made her laugh, slowly pulling him back in for another one just to sate his nerves, "Thank you, so do you."
Its okay Orion, you are adorable to her
