I swear there's nothing more relaxing than listening to the Skyrim soundtrack while painting a pair of netches in Solstheim. It just feels good.I made this because while I was playing Skyrim and walking down the Solstheim coast, I found a lovely little netch family living amongst the nirnroot. Not an uncommon sight, but I still loved it. My first elder scrolls game being Morrowind, I tend to have a soft spot for the netches. The scene was just so darn cute to me that I had to paint it. :3
I know it's only two netches and not a whole family, but with my skill level I didn't want to stress myself out trying to get all of them to look right. Overall, I really do like how it turned out. I hope you do too.

Oh, this is lovely!
My Skyrim character gets so annoyed when he gets accosted by teams of Nords from the Skaal village who claim they're off to hunt the mighty netch. If he weren't so peace-loving, he might slaughter the lot of them.

That particular character is an Imperial. I also have a female Breton (retired), a female Argonian (played very rarely), and a male Dunmer vampire.
Martin just feels that netches are too peaceful and beautiful to be hunted the way the Skaal warriors like to hunt. It's not in keeping with their theology of the All-Maker to go off and slaughter creatures that they don't need for food.

The Skaal go netch-hunting? I didn't know that. ;_; But then again, netch leather is kind of a staple resource in Solstheim, so it unfortunately makes sense.
My Skyrim character is pretty irritable, but he'd probably still react the same way yours would if he met with one of those Nord groups. Out of curiosity, what race do you play as?

They can be obnoxious until you pick them, then they stop making noise. I think they're really pretty.
