My 20th drawing of "D&December" inspired by the prompt "cross" and is a lord commander of a divine order come to attack my team of undead adventurers. As my team of undead adventurers fight for their lives against the divine order they retreated into the nearby temple. Once inside they managed to barricade the entrance. However they have have trapped themselves inside with the lord commander, a Mage Knight. Commanding a holy order of knights in D&D a need to come up with a unique character. I had some people suggesting an angel or celestial; but they all seemed just a bit to powerful so I thought I would combine a knight and mage which would most likely just be a cleric; but for the story he is a Mage Knight lord commander of the divine order. To separate him from the other knights I took away the wing shoulder armor an changed the helmet up by giving it a spike and decorative halo ring. The armor vambraces on his forearm's I gave a look similar to long feathers and for his main weapon I gave him a sword staff which is a rather unique weapon that I don't see being used very often in fantasy. For the prompt I went with this idea I had which allows him to face off against multiple foes and that is cross made of burning light making it hard for an enemy to attack him from behind. Battling the Mage Knight nearly killed every one of my undead adventurers and it took everything they had to beat him. As my undead adventurers remained surrounded by the knights of the divine order the deathlock Taras told everyone he could get them out; but that it would mean being teleported back to the ancient necropolis which was their prison. All the undead agreed and decided on a plan to put their revenge on hold break out of the necropolis and strike out for the frontier territories build up their strength and return for their revenge. As the knight came crashing though the barricade the undead adventurers were teleported away to safety.
