Looks cool.
Reminds me of the first time I seen this type of G2 Tux on CrystalXP.net [link]
There are a few tutorials on how to create such a creature, and others there.
I once created something similar to a G1 Tux long ago [link] using the gimp, and used him for a few years until I decided to create something different than what was already out there.
So, how is Inkscape for you?
You getting the hang of it, and able to create the images that you imagine?
I have pretty much limited myself to the gimp, and I seem to be able to follow any Inkscape, Photoshop, PaintShop Pro, and other tutorials with no issues. As long as one know how to use the tools the application has, one can create almost any works of art out there, even on MS Paint. [link] Yes, I said MS Paint, something I could not use and get any good results with.

beautiful, your work ....
I discovered the power of Inkscape .. looking at the works of art that makes great
and then I started to read some tutorials on the web if they are many, and some are very good.
I know that this picture is a little old fashioned, but I left the svg file, as a tutorial for anyone who like me, you want to bring this fantastic software, powerful and free of charge. The then I think to draw icons "For us who use Linux" I do not think there is a more powerful tool in Inkscape.

I posted the MS Paint link to show that it is the artist with talent and determination to create the works that one desires. I do not think that any graphic application is better than another, only the artist that uses it. I myself tried Inkscape, but did not use it very long, and went back to using gimp since it is what I am best with.
Ayo from 73lab [link] uses gimp, as well as Inkscape, and Blender. You may recognize his graphics from k3b and other applications. He speaks French and English, and has created the graphics such as the Frozen Bubble game, and websites like Fresh RPM's. [link] Oh, and he also has a deviantART account [link] even though he has been quite busy and not visiting here.
The more one uses a graphic application, and gets more familiar with the tools that are available, there is almost no graphic works that one can not accomplish.

You're absolutely right.
I know I make good use of Photoshop for Windows ... and the thing that always annoyed me, is to spend a lot of money for a program (I use to work but only for passion) so I thought I'd try to use Linux, even for graphic ... but for me and still difficile.perΓ² when I have time I try to learn.
A negative note for us Italians, is that there are many tutorials (written for good). ... In fact I speak very little English translated using google, but to respond to messages. Apropos sorry for my bad English.
However, your tux is beautiful.
Ps I do not know very well using gimp.

Did you see that I'm learning to use Inkscape ...... I hope to become as good as you .... even if it takes a long time.
I have to thank you ... because I started using Inkscape, watching some of your beautiful work .... and then I thought ...
wow this software can be so powerful?
So I started searching on the Internet, the tutorial (in Italian are very scarce)
