Scarlet Ibis Suncatcher...This is a Scarlet Ibis.
It inhabits Tropical South America and Island of the Caribbean.
One of the most stunning sights you can ever see are the hunderds and hunderds of Scarlet Ibis flying all together at sunset into the trees. The green trees turn red from all those Scarlet Ibis who sleep there for the night. This is a suncatcher representing that beautiful sight of nature.
This beautiful suncatcher with a Scarlet Ibis is handmade using only glass, Swarovski crystal, Czech glass and gemstones (Aventurine). No acrylic! The beautiful materials reflect sunlight in a most stunning way. It has a glorious large dark red feature glasskristal prism at the bottom.

Thanks a lot Katinka and no the leaves and moon are metal ornaments, the only thing I did not make but corporated into my piece. 95% of each piece is fully handmade by me but I always add some kind of ornament to make it complete. Sometimes I use reall shell or murano glass to add to my work or I use a large round gemstone as a moon, wich a obviosly did not make myself aswell .

Thanks Jessica.. that is exactly what I had in mind. I saw all the hunderds of Scarlet ibis in Trinidad flying over the swamp. They fly all together into the trees at sunset to sleep there for the night.

A white lily under a full moon.. can there be anything else? Like some more flowers and colors only white colors? I have done a white piece before and it gorgiouse but if you would like some more colors please let me know. Hi Charlie thank you so much! I get my inspiration out of life, my dreams and mythology. I also love nature, music and snorkling. There is a piece of me in everything I make. When I battle with loss, I make an Angel and when I am in a fantasy modus I make a Phoenix. This specific piece was inspired by a trip I made to my Family in Trinidad & Tobago. I saw the hunderds of Scarlet Ibis on a swamp while they where flying into the trees. I am passionated about staying creative and I just fell in love working with wire and making suncatchers, candleholders and wire sculptures.
