Description
"The vanyu is a small winged therocephalian. It is a recent migrant to the known world from the 'Permian Island', a distant subcontinent terrestrially isolated from the portal to Earth since the era after which it is named. Their saliva is especially venomous to mammals, which aids them catch their favored prey: rodents. The bite can elicit an allergic reaction in humans strong enough to kill. They are able to expectorate as a spray, which is not as potent but can blind or irritate attackers, allowing the small predator to escape. Unfortunately this toxin does not seem to effect dinosaurs. They are fairly intelligent, and a few have been successfully tamed when raised from hatchlings, although their toxic bite and breath makes them poor candidates to have as pets, especially around children. Their range is mostly restricted to Pakardia, but they have small populations throughout the known world."
