I actually must say, I rather like this Refreshing take on a Traditional Styling.
The Bright, pastel colors bring out the intensity of this Image's Traditional look by accenting the Level of... "Foreignness" while at the same time bringing the appeal of Bright colors, which is not often seen in western-styled Art.
The Variance in Details, changing from Flat pastel colors to a Highly Patterned Kimono makes the Image LEAP out at one's eyes, and is Highly Appealing Visually.

*coughs* Ahem. Anyway, let's see if I can give this a shot.
Firstly, I enjoy the incredibly japanese pop culture feel you've given this image. The color and texture selection works incredibly well to give it a pop culture feel, even considering the fact she's dressed in a traditional yukata.
My only real caveat is I don't know what exactly she's doing with her right arm. Is she tucking it behind her back? The angle of her pose and the folds of the yukata don't make it immediately obvious. Simply drawing the right arm somewhere should remedy this.
All in all... This is an absolutely fantastic piece of work, and I feel guilty even critiquing it. 8D;;;
