Deer Island in New England, United States, is a good winter eagle spot because they like fishing from the tidal river present there. Including the juveniles.

I have not seen one in person in a long time, but you can sometimes find them in good zoos and trust me when I say it, They are very big birds not worth offending!

The school I work in was built across the road from its original site because a nesting pair of eagles claimed the plot of land. I've worked there 15 years and see them almost every week. They sit on the lights in the parking lot...they sit on the building itself. They teach their chicks to fly over our playground. Do I have a good picture of any of this? Nope! 15 years of tail feathers...that's what I have. They see me coming without a camera they stay...but the minute I try to get a photo *POOF*. So I have nothing but butt shots. They are jerks.
Thanks for the comments and sorry it took so long.

Oh yes they can indeed! I once saw a immature Bald Eagle at a tidal river in newburyport, Massachusetts one winter as apart of a high school birding club. Love how in your photo you captured the adult eagle in natural light, and at a dramatic angle as well.

actually the eagle came out pretty clear, the image has focus in a singular area(the eagle) which gives it a good "real" quality.

Wow!! never mind the quality of the photo, you were lucky to spot a wild bald eagle casually soaking up some sun and on the look out for prey. Pretty amazing stuff! I can still see a fair bit of detail.
