Ah... the colors are just breathtaking, truly... I always adore pieces like this that show the true beauty of natural media... Might I ask, how did you achieve that wonderful splotchy texture on the darker blue areas?... Salt on watercolor?

salt works, but normal clean water drops draws the watercolors to the edges of the spolt, creating a nicer dark border

If this is what Hehaka actually looks like, then how can you resist him? I can only imagine the harmonious song that comes from within him.

i love the way you have him not only howling upwards, but towards a symbol at the same time. it gives the viewer who doesn't understand these concepts something more to hold onto.
the purple/blue above and below are also a nice touch. it's sort of like you're putting him in the middle on purpose, like an aspect of the lakotah culture with man in the middle of the circle.
