The Elvynne torc.The terminal/head is made of fine silver and contains two citrine stones for eyes (2mm each). The character is a dragon wolf, and it has four horns; Two on top, and two that fold behind them. The other side of the torc is a plain ball.
The body braid is of polished noble steel that has been given a high gloss to resemble silver work. I used steel for the body braid because of it's strength and resistance to tarnishing, as well as to keep the costs down since these are full custom and one of a kind commissions.
A Torc is a piece of Celtic jewellery which is worn around the neck. There are also arm torcs and wrist torcs.
And my kindest regards to Jagarnot and Kitten-of-woe. I never thought one of my Celtic Torcs would become a DD! I am stunned, shocked, amazed and delighted! Thank you all so much for showing such love and interest in my work! You all are truly bringing my dream of revitalizing and reviving the Celtic arts to life!

This is piece is stunning, I quite like the amount of detail you put into the head, everything is perfect here. Lucky commissioner, I'd be so happy to have one of these around my nape, I am sure I would hardly take it off. Beautiful work as always!

The design of the four-horned dragon head was a very tricky one indeed, but it worked out very well. Plus it was also a nice safety feature to have the horns fall into the hair crest, so no sharp end were protruding

I love it! Did you do the design as well? I mean if I wanted to commission something like this, do I just tell you my idea and you apply your skill or do I have to send you fairly detailed sketches?

The commissioner for this one had a pretty good idea of what she wanted, but I can work any way you want really. You can describe it, and have me design it until we've found what you're looking for, or even supply me with a basic sketch if you wish for me to edit and stuff

Amazing! Your art has really got ideas running through my head. Would you have any books or tutorials that you would suggest for making torcs, and for things like the dragon's head?

Honestly, they way I do/learn things is by looking. Try finding pictures of historical torcs, or even look them up in museums . There are often broken ones featured with them, and you can see the different braids and twists on them
