Description My third try with scratchboard, and I'm getting quite used to it

When I saw that great photo, I couldn't resist to use it!

I really enjoyed working on that, though it was really hard work to make a proper scan

I used an EssDee Scraperboard, scratch knives and mostly a scalpel. Size is 22,9 x 30,5cm, and it took me a bit more than 8 hours.

I added in the description the materials I used, ( I didn't even knew the brand until you asked me ) though the ref was already there before [link] .
I think I really have to revise the ear, you were not the first that adressed this.

how the hell do you get everything so perfect on scratchboard?? do you just mark it out really lightly or do you use something else? or do you just....do it? which i would find remarkable if you said that haha

how do you get the proportions right without marking it first?

Ahh, well I do kind of marking.
I put a piece of paper on the board and make my sketch with a biro, with enough pressure to leave light marks on the board.
