I think the difference for me with this work is that she is not an instantly recognizable, contemporary celebrity like many of your other portraits, and that increases the appeal to me because it lets my mind focus on the craftsmanship instead of the perceived identity of the subject.

Excellent! Since you seem to enjoy drawing classic actresses, you might want to draw Hedy Lamarr. Not only was she a stunningly beautiful woman and fine actress, she was an inventor! Her most famous invention was a communication system (for guidance of torpedoes) that has since become a methodology which underlies WiFi, Bluetooth CDMA cellphone technology and military communications gear.
Certainly more than just another pretty face!
