What you might need to improve is how to present your work.
you should get some graphic editing software, like gimp*, so you can crop the picture- this way you reduce the black space of the scanning process and the placement of the character. She is not in the centre of the work, this takes away attention from your work, which is kinda contra productive, since you want your work to be noticed (or not?).
Presenting ones work is just as important as drawing it.
keep on drawing, you are already on a good level. 
*gimp is a free-ware, means- it's free to use, compared to photoshop. another good software is from Clip studio paint (cheaper when they have a sale).
