Also known as Midna's Lament, it's one of my favourite parts from Twilight Princess. Beautiful music, sad yet powerfulΒ atmosphere. The way Midna helplessly lying on your back, and you run through the rain towards Hyrule Castle. I remember when I was playing this part, I just ignored all the enemies on the road, the only thing I had in mind was to get Midna to Princess Zelda.Now I really want to play Twilight Princess again lolXD
I don't really know what to draw now, I'm running out of ideas, I guess I'm still fighting some kind of art block. T___T
Oh well, tomorrow is a new day, but now I'm off to bed. ^^Β΄

That scene is so sad ! Twilight Princess is my favorite Zelda and you really pinpointed this scene. I just can feel the stress and worry flowing back in me just like when I played it for the first time. Awesome work !

One of the saddest moments in the game and a defining moment for Midna.Β Twilight Princess is one of my favorite games and this part here gave me chills.Β The first time, I actually thought she would give way before i reached Zelda.Β However, it's after this point that we see a dramatic change in Midna.

This is the first scene ever in a video game or movie or TV show or anything like that that made me cry. And I was six! I was scared for Midna and thought she was gonna die and I was screaming "MIDNA DON'T DIE!" at the screen while I was crying tears. When I was six.
Midna's my favorite character in the Zelda for many reasons. I liked that she started off as a selfish character who wanted to use Link because one: that's how character development works. Two: that isn't like any other companion; she wasn't sent to Link by a spirit or wanted to help him out of loyalty and shit, she wanted to help him for her and her people and when she realized the sacrifices Zelda and Link has made, she then wants to help.Β
But yeah, Midna is my favorite character.

Geez I know this is an old game but when I first got to this part, I started to cry! I was legitimately scared that Midna was going to die and there was nothing we could do for her. And this is coming from a person that didn't like her at first. I didn't like her because she seemed like a person that just wanted to use Link for her own gains and agenda. But the more I played, the more I kinda realized that I liked her for her snarky commentary and funny comments. And it made it all the more sadder when Midna broke the Twilight Mirror at the very end......
I think it'd be nice to see her again though..... Though thats not gonna happen anytime soon...

Hahaha, yeah Midna starts out as a rather selfish character, but she has a great character development (one of the best in the Zelda series imo), and that is one of the aspects why she's one of my favorite Zelda characters ^^ And that's also why I felt that I really had to save her during this part of the game c:
Yeah, Twilight Princess has such a bittersweet ending ;___; I really hope Nintendo will make a sequel to it and make Midna return ^^

Truly one of the saddest moments in Legend of Zelda. The only person that kept you safe after being transformed into a Wolf despite having her own agenda was close to death, you couldn't go on without her...desperate you raced against time to save your friend...The only thing on your mind was to save your friend at this point, knowing your mission was to save Hyrule. You couldn't let her die because she didn't treat you with full respect and was acting like a child around you, making jokes or bossing you around. You knew she cared about you when she let you out and helped you throughout your adventure. Β Β Β

Wolf Link dashed through the downpour, his friend Midna sprawled helplessly on his back. She just lay there, limp and unable to move. The black and white beast dashed through the storm, paying no mind to the monsters staring at him with glaring red eyes. All Link could think about was how Midna could die if he didn't hurry up, even though he was running as fast as his legs could carry him across the seemingly endless stretch of grass and plain. The clouds seemed to be crying, their darkness blotting out the sun. Everything went by in a blur as people screamed as he ran through the hyrule castle market. Only time would tell if he'd be able to save Midna, and right now the odds weren't in his favor. Link stopped for a moment, feeling Midna tug on his fur.
"Link, please, hurry... to Zelda... Please..."
Nodding silently in response, Link ran through the rest of the obstacles that stood in his way. Only the natural order of life would determine whether Midna lived...or met a terrible fate...
