He sits in the poorly lit crypt of his study, studying and scribbling to the best of his ability with frail claws and frayed feathers that he keeps tucked in his tail. Although his supplies, his books and scrolls, are starting to mold, he values them like pristine riches. He doesn't see the way they crumble, or smell the foul odor. In his blindness he will work, although he no longer knows the purpose. And it will be like that that he too will crumble and fade.
