"Gollum" (cf. [link] ) is back again.
The incarnation of being wrecked up and disgusted of yourself.
But not being able to prevent yourself from being an horrible creature, a sneak, a liar, a thief, a murderer.
In a word Guilty.
How do you get away from guilt ? How can you forgive yourself what you can't morally accept ? How to live with being a monster ?
Made a long time ago in 2005, maybe May or June...
Done after being caught in the most horrible part of myself by my best friend. No excuses were possible, and no self destruction could ever make up for it.
It's Ancient History now
I originally intended for it to have long scatterred and torn apart bat wings, making a shadow on the ground (then I had the idea of just making teh shadow of them), I wanted the whole piece to have more texture, and finally i wanted to paint the figures of ripped heads hanging from the ceiling...
What do you think ?

I wish you had more paintings like this. They're my favourite of yours. I don't think you need the wings or anything hanging from the ceiling. It gets a lot across the way it is.

this reminds m eof a self portrait kurt cobain did, and it was a skeleton. like, that same kind of feeling- very empty and hollow.
i really like it.

I see here loneliness and pain. Maybe it's not because of things we've done, but because we kind of know we don't belong here. Everyone of us has that kind of moment in his life... Maybe someday you'll find a way out of the vault.

oh I think it's done ... I've come a long way since I painted this, and I've learn to deal away with guilt, shame, destruction, and eventually loneliness and pain. A bit. Better.

I think it looks like I've felt recently.
I don't know if there should be something above. Right now the emptiness above adds to a feeling of being alone and abandoned. He is alone, he is nowhere. I guess it depends on if you want an empty feel or a rich, macabre feel. Empty hurts worse.

*fucking damn ... you know what just happened ? one of my friends sent me spooky messages as if he could see me and .... after a while i realized he was there, standing on the balcony
