I did a photoshoot last month in Midna, and I finally got all of the photos back from both photographers. It's going to be seriously hard to choose which to post.. because I just want to post them all Pikminlink and I got some amazing photos together too

I touched up this photo just a little bit- I changed the colors to look slightly more twilighty/in-game, I touched up my stomach makeup, and lightened the shadows around my eyes. Turns out, when your makeup just sits around for a year or so it comes off or cracks really easy the next time you try to put it on.. haha.

This is not a cosplay, this is THE midna cosplay....it should serve as a reference for all people would want to make a cosplay of midna ^^

This is highly impressive. You somehow perfectly pull off Midna, and she has inhuman proportions! Incredible. Great attention to detail in the fabric as well.

I've determined that Midna's true form was around 6'10" with her hood. No, really, look at some of the ending cutscenes of Twilight Princess. Link's around the same height as Zelda, if a bit shorter, and Midna's much taller than either of them.

LOL 5'10" is TALL. Link is tiny, he is very boyish in appearance and very short. 5'7" at most.

Yeah, but that puts Shad at just under 6'0", and he's one of the tallest human characters in the game. If Imp Midna's 4'0" from the tip of the Fused Shadow to her feet, then Link's 5'9.75 (I rounded, okay?), Shad's at 6'2.8", and Zelda's around 5'11", which is not implausible as she's likely wearing heels. The twili we see in the Twilight Realm are either really short like Imp Midna, or rather tall and gangly, similar to true form Midna. Zant's over 8', and Ganondorf's over 10', but they're bosses, and as such are required to be freakishly huge.

But boots doesn't make terribly much sense for female medieval/Renaissance royalty. It's near-impossible to tell anyway, as Zelda's skirt is floor-length. I wonder if Zelda's character model even has feet.

Huh, model rips. Well, I was just saying that Smash Bros. isn't good for reference sometimes, as they've messed up details on some games, even Kirby, which is from the same developer company! I don't know, like I said I'll try to gauge Link's height by comparing him to the barrel he carried.

I don't think you realize what people actually look like at the heights you're claiming. You have to look at how many heads tall they are (and link has a pretty large head for his body), and Link is pretty stocky/short looking. He's short

barely, though. He's not really that much taller than link.. Link is consistently pretty short in the games. For one thing, it's a Japanese game, and pretty much all Japanese characters are shorter because, well, that's normal in Japan. Also, if you actually go and compare the heights of cosplayers, Link looks MUCH better cosplayed by someone that's about 5'5" than by someone that's more like 6'. It just looks so off.. Their heads are so large, there's no way they could be that tall.

Of course, the designs are also stylized, not to the point of Wind Waker, but still. Therefore, heads can be larger than usual. If you look at the link I sent you, you'll notice that the four human characters all have the same head size, even though they are different heights. Also, the doors in dungeons aren't typically much taller than Link, so either they're for short people, or Link's a (still somewhat short) a more normal height. Finally, I have seen male cosplayers effectively portray Link, and statistically they're not very likely to be 5'5".

"statistically". I know MANY men that are around that height, and it's extremely common for asian men to be around that height. You're really just speculating a lot of things without facts, you don't even know how tall the Link cosplayers you like are. Which Link cosplayer do you think looks good as Link?

I may have asked this in another photo of yours, so I apologize if this is a repeat question- but what kind of make up did you use for these? I use liquid make up and I'm not particularly happy with wither brand.

well it's good paint so it doesn't crack much, but it was technically older than it should have been for this shoot so it did crack. I seal it with hairspray
