Didn't he play the viola in the game?..or did he change to violin?

He plays viola in the game. He used to play violin, I believe, before the game started, but he gave it up. Even when he changes to the viola, he feels inferior to everyone else, as he's the one who has to work the hardest to catch up to everyone else.

oh, ok..I just mixed up which one he played, there's a difference between the violin and viola! I haven't played the game because 1) I don't have a PS and 2) I've never seen it in America

Yeah, the games are only in Japanese and unless you get all UBER lucky, you're not gonna find it in the States. If you wanna buy it, you either have to go to Japan or buy it online. Also the 2nd game, which is the game where he's first introduced, is ONLY on the PS2. As for violin and viola, they're really similar but have a few differences. (if you know them, I don't need to mention them. ^^)

Well, I barely know Japanese myself, besides hiragana and katakana (which I taught myself), I only know any kanji that I learned in Chinese. XP But, despite the language barrier, it's not that hard of a game to learn. To me, the learning curve was a whole~~ lot lower than it was for the Ouran game... XP

Heh, heh, heh... I've never played a violin or viola, but the only reason that I know the difference between them is because I did research on both instruments for two of my RP characters (one played violin; the other played viola).

Yeah, I should learn Japanese...I would be a bad cellist/ orchestra student if I didn't know that difference between a violin and a viola
