Ok, I've played some of the later games in the Resident Evil series, so I know what a licker looks like. Unless the original concept of a licker was completely different in the earlier games, I don't see a licker in this shot.
Is there supposed to be a licker in this shot, or are you just mentioning the fact that it showed up at the Police station once?

Have lickers always had their heart on the outside of their bodies like that? I only ever noticed it in RE5...

No, the Ones in RE5 and RE2 or Raccoon City Lickers are different.

I'm not being critical, just curious since I am a huuge fan of RE2, but can you encounter the Licker from the side? You have Claire as if she came from the door next to the green herb.
