I’m incredibly late to the hype train but here’s my spidersona/Spider-Man oc! I’ve never posted her because I wasn’t too happy of the whole design, and I still am not too thrilled about it, but I have no other content to show so here’s this unfinished ref/ sketch page of her! ✨

Here’s a little info dump:

Spidernaut (aka Artemis) is a 20y/o girl born and raised in the first colony (and capital) of Mars.
She’s clumsy, always late, and is surprisingly good at, somehow, getting out of the troubles she puts herself in in the first place.
She’s also very active and determined, studying geology with the dream of someday going to visit and hopefully live on Earth.
She gained her powers after being bitten by a spider that has been exposed to cosmic rays, after accidentally sneaking into the public spaceship that recently arrived from Earth that Artemis was sanitizing at her part-time job at the local land site of the interplanetary space station, where her parents also work.
Since hers wasn’t a normal radioactive spider, but was specifically irradiated by cosmic radiations, Artemis has a couple of additional “space related” powers alongside the classic ones, those including:
- incredible resistance to cold temperatures (she is able to stand fairly well temperatures way below zero with little to no protection, and is able to survive in outer space with no suit for a couple of minutes)
- complete immunity to motion sickness
- and the ability to be unbothered by strong lights, with her eyes acting like natural sunglasses, thanks to the production of big amounts of melanin in the eyes when exposed to the light; but this often turns against her (it will be explained in a future post).
Artemis also owns a little robot companion, a model specifically built and programmed to cover the same role of a therapy animal, that she also included in her duties as spidernaut, acting like a little sidekick/guy-on-the-chair for her.

Alright, that’s all the basic informations of her, I definitely plan on revisiting her (and possibly do a little design upgrade) since I actually really like the lore and info revolving around her, but for the moment that’s all! ✨

Also wants to specify a little something:
Artemis is not meant to be a depiction of myself, she’s in all effects just an oc and not a sona, but what makes her “different” is that although she’s not *me* she is a little celebration of all the things I personally enjoy, all of her lore, details, and info directly picked the inspiration from several topics I like besides art, so in some weird way, I do kinda consider her a sona, not in the classic way tho.
