a torent is like a key to a file or program on the interwebs. they upload the file onto a torrent and u download that file (doesn't matter what it is) and seeding is the information being sent from said persons computure to yours

or in other worlds it just like downloading off of a website only it downloads fast or slow depending of the number of seeders. I hope i answered your question, if not i really do suck at explaining crap.
