This will be matted and framed for the silent auction at the Way of Whales workshop this Saturday in Langley. Itβs about time I did something in honor of our newest SRKW after all.

This is so beautiful! I'll definitely be bidding on this. I hope to finally meet you too after quietly stalking you for over a year (I'm GlacialEmpress and JBuckmaster btw). Most of all, I look forward to learning the latest about the Salish Sea. I thought the workshop was in Coupeville though?
Any way, this is a beautiful piece. I think I've said before that the J16s are one of my favorite matrilines and I especially love J42! I was so happy to hear the news of J50's birth and actually get to see her about a week ago. You've captured this family well and I can't wait to see this piece printed!
