Description
“I have to go before anyone sees me,” he said.“You’ll be back soon, won’t you?”
“As soon as I can,” he replied. He had fooled neither Zelda nor himself with his answer.
“You will keep your promise…?”
“I won’t break my promise,” he assured her. He brought his Ocarina to his lips and played a few haunting notes. Before the tune ended he had vanished in a swirl of light.

This is for *CallistoHime 's Illustration Contest. ='D (GARGH! I've been working on this picture for so long! I consider this to be one of the first "fluff scenes". It's not exactly... happy, though.
But the scene put such an image in my mind.For the sky, I referenced tutorial from *Sadir89 . She makes some very nice tutorials for skies. ^^
Edit: For those of you who are curious, this piece did end up winning third place in the judging contest and second in the popular vote. I'm honored to get a placing! (I don't think I'm even worthy for this. ;_; ) Thank you for all your support!

Isn't there a revising project going on for TCE? That and I've been occupied with several different things at once--including plot bunnies, lack of motivation, or just working on other things in general. I do need to catch up though. XD

I had a hard time motivating myself to keep going at the beginning, too - it's slow, and mostly devoted to character and relationship set-up. But I swear...that beginning set things in motion that keep coming up for the rest of the story. After a certain point in TCE, it just has this

You've captured Zelda's emotion in that scene perfectly! Her heart is obviously being ripped out and troddon on. I love the moon, but it makes me feel sadder cause walking in the moonlight is a very romantic thing but her walk with Link isn't very romantic.
And her hair- so flowy!!!
It makes me so sad for her, but I love this piece!!

It's always so sad to see a scene when those two lovers have to separate, even for a few moments. This was a beautiful picture, and I loved how you gave it a three-dimensional view. That is genius!

Wow, so beautiful! It's drawn lovely. I love Zelda's expression, especially her eyes & how her arms are. They're spread out & so delicate looking. I like her hair too, very nice & blowing free. This looks very spiritual. The moon looks lovely too & a nice colour.

i was looking through Callisto's contest entries and yours immediatly caught my eye. the lighting is perfect and really sets a mood. zelda's pose is great as well. all of the entries were very well done. but yours is truely the best one there ^^ i hope you win, and good luck.
