Some friends and I were talking about what Tali might look like under her mask, who doesn’t talk about that? Anyway, this was my idea? I know that they mention a few times that they have similarities to Turians, so I took that into consideration during the design. From mass effect one we could see that she has large eyes, as well as a noticeable human-like nose. I tried to include both of those features in the face, I took some major liberties with the suit, I’m not entirely in love with some parts of the suit from the game so I modified those parts, while still trying to retain the ‘Quarian’ look.Related content

Finally SOMEONE goes all-out on the humanoid-alien thing without making her crap-ugly. This is pretty much how I imagined her, save maybe a few small details like the tattoo and eyebrows. Bravo, chief. You deserve a medal.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought she might have some sort of overlapping cheek features, with the way her helmet is shaped it's a good assumption.

It does look pretty good, and you do make sense with the Quarians having similarities with the Turians. Somehow though (and I am not hating on your work or anything), I have a different image in mind.

even though they have dextro amino dna (like turians), word is that they are more similar to humans, as they have similar skin, teeth, lips, nose, eyes, but different ears. And their skeletal system is more common wit a human one, as in an anomaly mission in ME2 (where u save a quarian for the Idenna) u see some skeletons which are nearly alike to a human one (except for the legs and arms). So i believe that if Bioware does reveal the quarians' appearances, most likely the appearance will be more human than turian, hence they use the word humanoid, not turanoid, to describe a quarian...

I like the design, it seems extremely fitting, though i think i would have given her more defined features. Judging by ME1 i think she has extremely high cheekbones. The jaw mandibles is something i hadn't considered though, like it.

hey thanks, yeah the mandibles were a risk, but it is the part of her face we certainly can't see, and she is in a sense, sorta distantly related to turians, or they have similar evolutionary paths anyway. People don't seem to like the mandibles though.

physical acts of affection are difficult for quarians, even for the purposes of reproduction.
The most intimate thing quarians can do is link their suit environments, though doing so guarantees a quarian will get sick at first, but adapt afterwards.

This is quite possible, except for the cheek things(There is a pic on here that shows by hacking the game camera, what is under her mask), but I absolutely love it. It perfectly captures her adorable personality.

yeah but you're not supposed to see what is under the helmet, which means that if you have to hack the game to see the underlaying model, then you're not really supposed to see it
I suspect she'll look very human and pretty, etc etc, but I'd like them to avoid the star trek alien and give us something interesting

I think the hood closely resembles gypsies, which the Quarians are technically similar to. Still awesome job. Maybe we'll know in the third game what quarians look like

Really nice work. But, and I don't mean to offend, they're only similar in dextro amino acids and knee joints it's like a human and a fruit fly similar in DAA's but not appearance.

This is a pretty epic job! Only things that kind of throw me off are the tattoo (why would a quarian, a member of a race who barely shows their faces. need a tattoo?), and I think the similarities end at the dextro-amino acids. However, I think that this is probably my favorite speculation on her appearance anywhere, and I will probably think of this when I think of her under the mask.

haha cool, well, they have the same number of fingers too, as well as similar feet and inverted legs. Their body shape in general seems very similar, just like the Asari and human forms are similar.
I thought about the tattoo for a little bit. The ear ring too. These people wouldn't want to increase their chance of infection, so they probably wouldn't have them. But there are tribal elements to Tali's design, her neck piece for instance is very similar to tribal neck rings. So I thought those two things might push the idea a bit further, but yeah, I know she won't really have those, haha.

I have to say...that could work, I personally always saw her, and all Quarian's as blue/purple with there eyes being sliver, but thats just one of many theories out there, and you have done a convincing job on this one ^^

thanks, I could have colored this but I was done with it and a friend suggested I leave it in black and white, I intended these eyes to be silvery though.
