I was starting to get bored of dA.
But then I saw this in *TheTrashCaretaker 's journal and thought to myself "this is a nice one!"
What an understatement that was!
I can exactly put my finger on it, but there's something in this picture that made me feel good while viewing it. Not just good about the picture itself, but about whole art.
I'm not overreacting...
A +fav.

I don't know how you managed to achieve that incredible chalk pastel look but...holy scrud. That's incredible. It evokes a wonderful sense of stillness maybe early in the morning or on about sunset. And very mysterious ( I see that little bird guy on the stump back there he looks like he waiting for someone )

Mmh. Again with the amazing coloring and forest scenery. I really enjoy the feel of these pictures too much, but that's to your compliment.

I've no idea how that "link" thing came on the comment. It should've read "poetic [link] luck with the comic!" It's late and I'm sleepy, probably leaned on my computer!

Patches of different hues melting into each other and yet distinct, a very soft warm light, and the guardian on the pole, it all goes to make it a "poetic" [link] luck with the comic!

yeah he is, I only spent like an hour on this entire thing though, and each time I look at it I see another mistake I'll have to fix before putting it in the comic.. but it is one of the fastest forest paintings I've ever done.

lol, if you saw the large version you'd see there was almost no detail. It is all just blobs of color. I'm trying to learn to do this so I can speed paint my backgrounds in my comic, but cities and stuff are way harder.

Nah, I barely know anything. X_x I'd love to be able to paint detailed, realistic, gorgeous... stuff. =]
