DIY Munny made by Kid Robot. Purchased from PlayLounge in London. Beak street just off Carnaby Street. Words across his head read RESIST. My original idea was to paint him a darker brown and using golden paint have a ornate floral design stencil curling round his head to look like wallpaper. Could'nt find a suitible floral design to use so I did this instead. Will re-paint with original design idea soon enough.Used two Posterman paint markers.

yeah just standard sky blue posterman marker ... probably just the contrast against the brown with the shitty resolution of the camera....

man this is cool, and so is that shop! got so many cool things in it for such a small shop, but you know if you go by the road between leicster square and covent garden, across from stringfellows theres a comic shop that sells them for a score

nah its called orbital toys or something, theres the main vinyl toy store which is tiny, and its down the right side road of spamalot, its a doorway, you go downstairs and theres a tattoo place too, and then for the other one, its on the same road as Avenue Q and has the turning that leads to the london graphics centre?

haha enit, lol id hate for it to happen on like one of the £100 ones, but i think this one works nice, id love to have like a whole collection of self customised ones and then swapping them about like pokemon cards back in the day haha

yeah thatd be awesome, i think qee did something like that, youd customize whatever figure then you could send it off to them and theyd send you stuff in return ... although i dont think i could bring myself to part with my creations haha

Diggin' it man, you must live pretty near me if that's your nearest place to get them, that shop rules. You can also get them in forbidden planet if you liked, and they have some other custom figures in there too.

Did you prep your munny with anything before painting him?? I've done two munnys now, and both of 'em seem to get scratched up pretty easily...like the paint just isnt sticking to 'em right.

nope, just painted straight on, did quite a few layers of brown though, about seven to get the best coverage on the paint, but yeah it scratches real easily... i guess just becuase of the nature of the surface?

how many repaints can you do before it gets fucked up? thinking bout buying one too, but don't want to waste it but might want to try different desings on it

yeah, im not sure really...im just using paint pens so i would imagine the layers would build up over each other...i screwed up the lettering a few times and i just painted over it and theres no visible difference so i reckon you could do quite a few different repaints before it gets fucked.

I got mine for christmas ... £25 I believe ... you can get them at Forbidden Planet aswell as PlayLounge [link] ... comes with four objects ... I got a bowler hat, suitcase, carrot, and a samurai sword ... customizing those at the moment.
