Description
Celshading fullbody commission 1/2 for NicoleenaWoah first time I draw a mermaid that is not a chibi *U*
I enjoyed playing with the flow of the drawing and pose, I wanted it to be very huuummm wavy x)
The colors confused me but after a few fixes I got happier with the result!

Omg how did you make her frills look transparent? I've been trying to figure out how to draw transparent stuff, but the colors all end up real muddy, but yours still retain those vibrant colors!

I lower the opacity of the layer, try using really bright/saturated colors, because lowering the opacity makes it less saturated as well~
Also, I add each layer of shading in a new layer with different opacity, so I can create a nice effect!
In the end I merge everything and add some solid details if I feel them necessary ^^

The flow in this piece is stunning! Everything is fluid and in motion. My favorite part is the tip of the tail curving back into the body so smoothly! <3

Humnn nothing special, I always try to leave the coloring lineart part for the part of the video where it is visible owo
but I basically use the same tool as in the sketch, trace over the sketch, set as multiply layer and put some light-medium color, for most of the cases purple/lilac works!
