He's such a sneaky little guy <3. Wow, look at you making such good progress! 8D Even with a quick glance in your moonfox folder, I can see you've done some very nice things with dramatic lighting and color combinations using this little guy ~ Ah! And in this one, the slight blurring of the background and foreground adds a charming amount of depth to this cozy little den!

I've really become comfortable in drawing him that I really spend less time with him and able to focus more on the settings

squeals, well I do enjoy leaving nice comments! *y* That's great to hear you've become more comfortable with the little guy -- I can definitely see that confidence coming through :'D. I've noticed a similar thing happening when I do a lot of Reggie pieces in sequence ~ Since he's the obvious focal point, it allows me to be more creative with his environment!

Oh, wow -- I still love your first one so much, but it's so evident how much improvement/different techniques you've used in this new piece! He's so integrated into the background here, by how the colors of all your subjects reflect off each other, and I love how you used blurriness to add depth to foreground/background. And the high contrast lighting with the white patches of light through the woods make this scene really dynamic even though it's a stationary pose, and your composition is so great with how his ribbon leads your eye around the piece and unites the colors, too. Gahhh, I love the pieces you do of this character so, so much ♥

something like this when I started this since it initially didn't look like the way
I imagined it (motivation killer sometimes). I'm just really proud of this because
for once he really looks like he's actually part of the scene.

I'm really in love with this! The contrast of the soft edges and your usual hard edges is really beautiful~~ with that and the varied stroke sizes this has a little bit of semi-realism, so the floating sash seems a lot more magic! Magnificent. <3
