a concept that doesn't exactly look what I imagined, but still I like the results.also I just really have this weird habit of drawing my characters in dark backgrounds.

SO so beautiful! Love the light, the way you handled the darkness is really cool..works very well, without compromising on the colour. And love the atmosphere too!

I love the colour composition is this. To respond to what the user above said, I think it's quite clear it's a glowing orb on his back. There are sufficient visual cues that suggest that: the way the light source on the boy comes from orb, the ripples in the water formed by the orb, and the fact that a reflection would appear at a 'flat' angle instead of lookng perfectly round.

I did have a problems with this in terms of perspective. (although now I kinda get what yinetyang was pointing out, the moon's reflection had to be more wavy than perfectly round because of the ripples)

Pretty cool. It's unclear if it's a moon reflection or he's wearing a bowl of light on his back. I guess it's a reflection but you should do some modification then (little wave disforming the edge for example).

Dark backgrounds? I like it when you do that because it always comes with a lovely glow of some sort.

Oh man, yes! Printers really like to print colors darker. Especially my black and white comic tones when trying to show people examples. >:\

yeah I'm really not sure how to workaround that problem!
remembered I ordered a black and white print way back at society6 and I was pretty disppointed how the everything was so dark I could hardly see anything!

I wonder if it depends on the printer too. Some printers might print darker...?
To resolve that problem a bit, was to put a light layer of white over each of them.
