Yet another DA fan art revolving around tepmlars..
I got the inspiration for this when i herd how Wynne was brought into the circle. Two templars came when her step parents discovered she was a mage. One of the templars ignored her but the other was very kind,and even carried her on his shoulders.
I thought why not, A kind harted true to his oath would make a good subject.
So here, that very templar risks life and limb to protect young Wynne, who lays unconscious .

Dynamic picture for sure and I do like the poses of templar and ogre. Particularly as the ogre seems like he is doing the "head ram" like in the game. Although I doubt that even templars would be able to block that.
And he truly looks like Ser Otto. Although Ser Otto most probably is not so much older than Wynne. But he can be Ser Otto nonetheless if we want to.
And I must agree with NeroonCousland here. I have also always thought that most of the templars served because of faith, because they wanted to help and protect and not being those evil guardians of mages arch types.

LOL, go for it. He fits perfectly for the part.
Given that in the DAO-verse Demons, Abominations, Blood Mages, etc are quite real and not some fiction the Chantry keeps going to maintain it's power. It would stand to reason, that there are indeed quite a few templars who join because they want to protect people from danger, not to become glorified prison guards.
And Ser Otto is the archetype of that IMO.
