This month I did something terrible.

My brother and I used to be obsessed with Bionicle . A quick look through my gallery is enough to prove that. We used to make models and write stories and draw comics.

Influenced (more than a little) by CDC's excellent Little Saiyalings , the comics featured all the Bionicle characters, but younger and in a school setting. We called them Iccle Bionicle, we made almost forty in total, and we never uploaded them.

We started! We uploaded the first two, and a bunch of character posters, right here on dA ! But that's it - just the first two. They weren't even good ones!

We just never got around to the rest. But we had them stored on an external hard-drive, safe, ready to be released in the future.

Then, a few weeks ago, I had a spring clean. I went through the hard-drive and sorted the data into folders, removing redundancies as I went. And then I backed up a ton of new stuff into the space this freed up. And then I noticed that Iccle Bionicle was missing. All of it. Gone.

I spent two days trying to get it back. A deep scan with Recuva located about half of the files... but they were corrupt beyond recognition.

No one will ever see Iccle Bionicle. Lewa will never get sent to the Head's office. Nokama will never attack Kopaka. Onua will never wear the sorting hat.

In fact, it's like they never even existed...
