So...what's his name?
Or did he legally change his name to first name "The", last name "King"?

When we saw this at the theater, my dad told me he almost cried at that scene. I was pretty surprised, since I'd never seen him show that kind of emotion at a movie. He said it was because he knows what its like to miss your little girl (both my sister and I are out of the house now).

I really wish we got to know the King and Queen in the movie. They didn't even have any lines! Then again, actions speak louder than words... You get a small idea as to what their personalities are like by watching them. I can't help but get the feeling that the queen is the strong one; she's the one keeping her husband together.
Anyway, I enjoy your picture. It's lovely.

They never needed words. Their faces and gestures spoke volumes.

I tried very hard to not cry when I saw this scene in the movies. You've done wonderful work at recreating it. *sniff*

That scene made me cry so hard. Which is incredible for a scene with two CG character not talking on screen.
My fanfic has him giving up hope of ever seeing his little girl ever again. He gets better. Oh boy, does he get better.

Oh my God. I've seen this movie about 20 times and every single time, I cry. Not toward the end with Flynn and Rapunzel (just the first time). Nope. I cry every time the dad cries: It is the most heartbreaking thing I've ever seen in a Disney movie! Dad's should never cry because when they do, you know it's bad. XD
This picture is awesome by the way. Love the semi 2D semi 3D look it's got goin, very original!

Wahhh, my heart hurts just looking at this picture. I mean I felt so sad for Rapunzel's parents. Imagine not seeing someone you love for 18 years. They are just gone and you painfully wait and hope they will return. I got all that just from the King's face in both the movie and your picture. Amazing art skills. I love this even though it makes me sad to look at them.

Aw it's okay. It's a nice break away from the mountains of fluff I consume from Tangled. It's really emotional, and the drawing did exactly what it was supposed to do; make us sympathize with the characters.
You're welcome. I just loved your picture. ^_^
