Thank you! It's one of my favorite movies too, and it almost never depicted space as being particularly dark or colorless, especially since they flew through a supernova. I wanted to put all of the color from the movie into it.

Yes! It is one of my favorite Disney films. And I consider it one of the "lost gems of Disney" alongside Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
Those two films had the most unique designs and character development to come out of disney. I wish they had done more work in that direction. I would have LOVED additional Treasure Planet content.
The colour palette for that film was amazing too.
