Yeah, Bert and Cyril make a find pair of friends that's for sure.

I will give You the benefit of the doubt, that your-actual intent was-to 'Cedric'.
Yes-indeed! In my Lore, He and Bert became Friends-through music (Cedric joined the Band in its 5th year-1964...around the time-the first Mustang came out...)
But they weren't the 'Buddy-Buddy' type of Friends-You see in the Series.
Bert was-more involved with his childhood Friend, and Rythym Guitarist Johnathan (In the episode 'Spring Fever', You see Bert-suddenly had a straight nose (hearts in his eyes...), the first time I saw THAT, I replied "Johnny?"...a character I had-already created-as 'OC'...
In fact...Cedric and Sofia are the only ones who have-yet to come to the Evergreen Forest. They've stayed-back East, in their Classic 8-overlooking Central Park-since1966. Perhaps in their 'Golden Years' (after-all He-and Melissa were the only ones-BORN there), the couple will come-to live them out, and-maybe they're due...for Cedric turns 74 TOMORROW!

It's all in the Imagination, I guess.
Gillis created the Evergreen Forest, and deemed it-as 'something'. I deemed it-as 'something-else'...and the 'actual' one may-yet be 'something-else' again. But-then AGAIN...the whole kit-and caboodle may, God willing, be nothing less than-what We'd expect it to be.
Now, let's-pit both forests face-to face, Kevin's, and OURS. In the 'posthumous' realm, the former will collapse like a house of cards...as the latter will thrive-making You shout "Hallelujah!".
That's what's powerful about Imagination...
We see-both the original characters, and our OCs...and We see-each of these, for what they're destined to become (don't know-whether I mentioned THAT part to You, or not).
But it's what's keeping Me alive-to tell the tales...

If You say-so...In My 'Lore'...They did the bulk of their Music in the 1960s. (Cedric joined the band, in 1964)...But-Yes! The Band-You all know is -that of the 1980s.

Just a-little 'tid-bit' difference-among many between Mine and the Original...nothing more, really.

In my Lore...An awesome Bert-Cedric duet would come towards the end of 'Baba O'Riley' with that 'violinish' guitar solo and keyboard-when they recorded with The Who. Yes, it was Cedric that 'played that finger-twistin' keyboard intro, and Yes, LP was produced by Ralph Raccoon-himself. All a part of my 'Raccoons' fetish.

That is only a microscopic tip of a 'mountainous' iceberg-of what I CAN tell.

Still, I can easily picture these two on stage doing a duet.

Easily pictured. They used to do it all the time-on stage. Well...not so much on stage, as in the Recording Studio.

I can see that happening quite often. They have to record their songs for the album after all.

Bert-literally spent-over 2/3 of the entire 1960s. in the 'Studio', including 'sleeping' there.

His favourite one was in that old House On Black Sabbath's first LP, when the Band exiled itself to England-from 1962-66.
