Description
Barred Owl First Snow is now finished to my satisfaction, and the composition is correct. A diagonal composition is always more dynamic and strong, and my artistic brain is no longer chiding me and nudging me to fix the painting. Painted in watercolor on Amate Bark Paper.Related content

Much clearer picture.
You did such a great job catching the light in the eyes on this one. Your patterns are lovely as always, especially the feathers and pine cones.
I'm still loving this paper. It just seems to enhance the wonderful textures you paint.

Thank you, I'm still loving this paper too. It's quite wonderful to paint on, and I love the colors and effects I can achieve. Plus, if I don't like something I can take water and a little brown paint and make the object disappear into the background.
