Wonderful, it reminds me of a dream, specially that one in the foreground whish seems to be swimming out of the painting.

MMMMM Fish Sticks ... Maybe I'll make some for supper !!!
Thanks I guess it's finished ... with the other painting that I'm working on it feels like I could keep adding crap forever, so when I compare it to this one it seems incomplete ... oh well. I'll just have to deal with it.

Thanks Linda ... Sometimes I feel like I didn't spend enough but I think it's because I've made the mistake of comparing it to the one I'm working on now where I'm trying to add a lot of detail ... They are two different paintings and I shouldn't have compared them.

The textures of the fish scales are absolutely beautiful and spot-on. I think the two things it may be missing are:
1) In most underwater environments and especially saltwater, the background becomes more blue and indistinct due to the water scattering blue light. More light reaches your eye when near, so you see more color in the foreground.
2) Depending on how shallow and clear the water is it can leave bright line patterns of light, just like the patterns on the bottom of a pool on a bright day. This effect really helps bring out the underwater feel if you can pull it off.

Wow Jaime !!!
Thanks for the critique I appreciate it.
I understand what you mean with the water getting hazier in the distance ... I need to work on pulling off that effect in the future,
as well as the light patterns if the fish were in the shallows. I do know what you are talking about but these fish are supposed to be in deeper darker water.
I do have a great white painting that i want to do some day that will have the light patterns on it though.

Nice work definitely has the Tarpon look and nice work on the scales, I wouldn't have patience for that

Thanks Jeep. I really didn't put in that much time on the scales to be honest.
