This flag supersedes this very old one . It is intended to represent current UK while Union Jack doesn't exist. It might be abolished by Socialist government or never designed. In fact, the star looks a little Socialist and resembles this logo , but the meaning of colors is different: red for England, blue for Scotland, yellow for Ulster, green for Wales and black for Cornwall, each in their respective geographic position. Five points can represent five petals of the Tudor rose, which is included in SVG file. The background was added later and represents sky, Dover cliffs and sea .
