The flag of the Earth Union was a red banner, centred by a yellow globe surrounded by ten blue stars. The red background represents the Union's dedication to imposing left-wing belief throughout all of Earth; the yellow globe represents a united Earth under the Union as the leader of humanity and the Galaxy; and the ten stars represent the ten proposed divisions of the Union and its authority over the Galaxy.
Its national motto is "Change is inevitable!"

After the devastation of World War III, a socialist army established its headquarters at the ruins of New York City. As it supplied the famished survivors, it quickly spread throughout the Western Hemisphere and most of Africa, annexing or supplanting any rivals in its path. Supported by its countless subjects who craved for stability and equality, this swelling army created the Earth Union as an attempt to push humanity forward into progress.

The Earth Union's divisions consisted of:

* North Cemanahuac (North America, the new continent of Atlantia, and the neo-Norse islands south of Greenland; the site of its first capital, Mannahata City (New York))
* South Cemanahuac (South America, the new continent of Helenia; the site of its final capital, Gonamabara City (Rio de Janeiro))
* Azania (Africa)
* Europe
* Sharq Awsat (Middle East)
* Altaica (Central Asia)
* India (South plus the new continents of Kandamia and Dinarobia)
* Asia (East and Southeast Asia)
* Oceania (Australia, all the Pacific islands, and the new continents of Muvia and Fuson)
* Antarctica (plus the new continent of Kergelia)

So far, it only ruled most of the Americas and Africa, Western Europe, eastern Australia and the South Pacific, and the western half of Antarctica.

As much as it tried to unify all of Earth under a socialist regime; its reign was marked by forceful methods, from implementing chips that electrocuted people over crimes and subversive thoughts; to severe punishments for promoting archaic art, religion, individualism, any form of private businesses, questioning its rulers' orders, environmentally-unfriendly tech, and (in its early years) eating meat or milk. Stubborn dissidents were left into labour camps, where conditions were crude enough to fend for themselves and risk constant eviction, although they were able to live longer than citizens if they were lucky. If anyone in these camps chose to renounce their beliefs and swear eternal loyalty to the Earth Union, they would have a tracking chip implanted in them.

On the other hand, subjects of the Earth Union (known as Unionites) enjoyed free food, education, entertainment (which was nothing but socialist propaganda and repetitive memes), frequent sex, and public transport in high-speed railways to nearly anywhere in the Western Hemisphere under its control. Almost everything they need, and their society's infrastructure, was produced by legions of robots. However, these citizens had to go to "people farms" at the age of 70, where they were put to death as they sleep before their bodies were cut and cooked as food, because Unionite culture feared old age as a catalyst for reactionary beliefs that might undermine the Union. Only higher-ranking officials or people with significant contributions were allowed to take a drug that reverts them to young adults, extending their lifespans to 40 to 60 more years.

In spite of its rulers' coercive stranglehold on the creative arts, artistic subcultures thrived and flourished in western and southern Africa, Mexico, and what is now London: London has become heavily-influenced by its South Asian majority, but it has become secular due to the forced atheism of the Unionite government. Nonetheless, the leaders of the Earth Union sought to annex the lands under the Great Shields, as they condemned these countries for being "backwards" for not following the Unionite way.

Envious of the corporations and dissidents' colonies spread throughout the Galaxy, the Earth Union embarked on a campaign of galactic conquest, manned by armies consisted mostly of obedient clones of random races. But as it quickly swept across the emptier, distant parts of the Galaxy; the western colonies revolted and split up as the Cosmopolitan Empire, while some of its easterly colonies splintered into independent realms that revered Karl Marx as a god.

The Earth Union was eventually defeated by the Farsiders, a cruel horde of extremists that sought to punish the Earthlings and their planet for their historical sins. But when the Farsiders were defeated as well, the surviving drones and subjects of the Earth Union had to create new nations of their own alongside their hated Shielded rivals.
