Description
This was primarily the result of screwing around in GIMP trying to create assorted visual effects. The goal in this case was something reminiscent of watercolors and/or ink-and-wash painting.No real plan behind it other than that, and the idea looked better in my head before I actually drew it (ain't that always the case). I'm not totally thrilled with the aesthetics that were produced but, eh, it's kinda neat I guess?

Thank you~~ It's not a terribly convincing imitation but I think I did catch some of the aesthetic of the styles that inspired it. Bluh. I was really frustrated with how this came out at first but it's growing on me now, so maybe I'll give it another go.

I enjoy how the style is almost like chinese calligraphy art! Was that intentional, or just awesome?

That would be the ink and wash painting style that I mentioned! The actual "intent" insofar as I had one was probably more heavily influenced by Japanese art, though. In particular, the style imitated by the game Okami, in which you play as a white dog with godlike Sun powers (oh which the significance to MSPA should be obvious, I think).
