(updated link) Go watch it and you will understand why it is not just because of Gravity Falls that I am such a huge fan of this incredible and talented human being.
One day, I will get to meet Alex, tell him thank you, give him a big hug, & give these two gifts to him personally. Hopefully.
I made this months ago and held on to until I just couldn't stand not to share it anymore. Proportions might be a little off because I am not that short - I think - compared to Alex.
I could be though. Who knows? (I looked it up and turns out we're the same height) But I'm too happy with it to change things anymore. A drawing I made of me giving Alex Hirsch a big hug full of gratitude, and love. Platonically.I was a little nervous about sharing this art. I suppose that it just means so much to me. I love Gravity Falls but I have a deeper, greater (and I swear it's completely platonic) love for Alex that's was born long before this show ever aired.
I can't express how much I want this to actually happen. To meet Alex in person and give him a big hug. So many people have gotten the chance to meet him and to express their gratitude to him for their own reasons, but I'm still waiting for my chance. As much as I would prefer to say what I want to him in person, I am planning to post a video on YouTube with a special message to our Buffalo King that I have been working on since Alex had announced that Gravity Falls was ending back in November! Yup. That long. He has forever changed my life and I have so much to thank him for as you will see when the video is out. Guys I am crying while writing this. Like literally balling my eyes out here. This means so much to me. What Alex has done for me means so much that I don't know if I even could truly express it in words, though I will try. I take the inspiration he gives me to heart strongly and though Gravity Falls plays a part in that inspiration there is so much more to how I feel about this man than just this one show.
Sorry for the lengthy description, but I felt I needed to say some of what has been on my mind and in my heart.

Oh man this is so fun. I understand your feelings toward this man. I would love to have a chance to meet him as well someday. He's a fun loving guy and he's a joy to hear talking or joking around. He has some very great advice I wish more people would take. I like your art too, very nicely colored. Yeah it can be hard to make it look good when drawing two people in the same shot. How ever this looks pretty good to me, and I hope you keep drawing and sharing your lovely artwork.

Thank you. Right now I'm just trying to get that darn video done. It's been nearly 11 months since I started working on it and I still haven't finished! (Probably because I keep crying like an idiot whenever I try to do that part. ) I really want people and especially him know how much he has done for me. I know many now have future goal and dream but there's actually more that Alex has done for me than just finding a future path to take. There's so much I want to say here but I'm trying to keep from because I have already spent so long on that damn video!

You have a great heart! I would love to see your video when you finish it! I'm sure you'll get me crying too, that man is a wonder for a lot of inspiring people out there, as well as people who just need the over all can get a great influence from him. He's inspired me big time. I love getting into good shows, but man I loved his show. I hadn't heard of Alex until Gravity Falls, which is a shame I wish I could have been following him as long as he's been around. He's been a big part of my art, my rping, my cosplaying, myself. I just love it. ^^

My introduction to Alex was through the character Clamantha . I just found it incredible that that voice came out of a grown man. She was also the only way I was able to tolerate Fish Hooks.

That's true. For me mostly as well. I do like SU a lot tho and find myself trying to catch the new eps when their on. I think I'm in love with the colors art wise the most.

The two shows do have unique styles that I can appreciate. I guess I just like what the brony community puts out more than what the actual show does.
