I'd like to ask, why did you include the Confederate battle flag in this piece?

Because the Confederate Flag represents racist ideals at their core, and unfortunately alot of people are using it as an incorrect part of american heritage rather than a racist part of history, so for those people it's bleeding into core american ideals. I wanted to illustrate that disgusting idealogy as being part of the reason this movement, the Black Lives Matter movement, needs to exist

That's typical, the only hatred that is surrounded around the image of that banner came from the Ku Klux Klan. People like me actually hold true cultural value in its image, and the image of the Confederacy as a Southern Cultural body.
