THIS is the long long picture i've been working on. Sorry for the crappy photo again. The paper is 14"x17" Bristol vellum. I'm not used to such big paper, but the long hours i put into it was well worth it i believe. Took about 5 hours total.This will probably be a main display at the Arts in the Heart of Augusta festival. Just need to matte and frame it.
Please comment on this, i'd appreciate it.

Hehee actually i didn't use any charcoal heheh. It was all colored pencil.

I think you're getting better with every piece. As always the eyes are gorgeous and the detailing is super on the muzzle and fur texture. I like that you sort of blurred out the back leg/side just enough to keep the main focus on the face too. I'm sure it'll be a smash hit at the festival.

Thank you thank you! I appreciate it. I want to get an aqua paper behind it when its framed to bring the eye color out more. I considered a backround, but it already took sooooo long, i figured that this was enough for my first attempt on such large paper.
And, I have you to thank. Those prismacolors ya gave me, just kickstarted everything. Thank you so much for your insight!

I think an aqua matt would work pretty well for this too. It would bring the viewers' attention straight to the next similar color, which in this case are the eyes, after that you sorta move around the picture from there. He covers most of the paper so the lack of background isn't really an issue I'd worry about.
You're very welcome. I'm truely happy that they were able to help kickstart your already growing talent. If all young artist were able to have someone show just a little interest in their talent, what a wonderful thing it would be indeed.

You have no idea. My dumb camera hates taking pictures of pictures. It always puts the hard work and detail i put into it to shame. Oh well. I still love it though.

Hmmm not sure, i haven't looked it up lately. But probably not, it's just too much travelling especially with arts in the heart so close. Hope you don't mind company, some of my other friends want to come support me. But don't worry, it'll prob just be Brandon and my other friend Lea, and she loves EVERYONE. And i mean that.

No, doll. I seriously envy you because you're like 16 and draw like a 50 year old. When I was 16 I could barely grasp anatomy and here you have clearly blown my art of the water.
You deserve your chance at the art college in Pittsburgh. You keep at that place and go there. I don't want to see your amazing artistic skills go to waste.
