Yeah, I know other Homestuck fans would be okay with RP. It's the outsiders and haters that make me feel insecure about me being into Homestuck. Like, it's a bit discouraging when someone that you follow on Instagram, Tumblr, etc. says something like "Homestuck is cancer" or "I hate Homestuck with a fiery passion". I couldn't believe it when someone I used to follow said that they would shoot up a bunch of people who are cosplaying as Homestuck characters. I still like Homestuck though.

people who say that usually havent read the actual comic, they mostly hate the bad aspects of the fandom and how big and overwhelming it is. which is understandable, the vast majority of fandoms have bad sides, and in some cases it can ruin the original content for some people by just being related to the fandom (for example, me and the mlp fandom/show)
dont take it personally. there'll always be people like that and normally they wont have much against you specifically
if they do, either talk it out as politely as you can or step away if theyre not willing to do that. thats the most you can do, really.
dont be afraid to like the things you like.
take embarrassing things and flaunt them instead, and they cant be used to hurt you.

please try to stay true to what makes you happy and what makes you feel good about yourself.
the point of life is to be happy. if engaging in your hobbies makes you happy, then do so.
im not saying that you should disregard everything else, but i dont like how some people around you
kind of look down on the things you do for fun? geeze, its YOUR spare time, its not like youre
forcing THEM to cosplay.

Thank you for your kind words, Hanna. I feel like I get the most enjoyment of being myself when I'm alone, which isn't really a good thing sometimes. I wish I was more extroverted (socialable and outgoing) as I am online in real life. If I were like that, I think my mom would stop telling me how people think of me as like a "special-ed/needs" person. It really hurts my self-esteem when she says I'm dumb or I don't act normal.
