alriiiight, I suppose I should put this here tooI used to use colored pencils all the time; this is me trying to re-learn how they work. hmm

colored pencil, ballpoint, gel pen, probably some graphite?
for various reasons, I haven't checked my dA inbox since the beginning of july. I promise to get on that, and maybe become a regular here again someday, but until that fated day comes, feel free to come say hi on nabyn or tumblr (or link me yours, perhaps?) :0 I miss you loves.

ahh no, that doesn't sound weird; that means a lot ; ^ ; I tend to really dislike the way I draw noses, but I can never quite figure out why. I appreciate that <3

I know I stopped updating/commenting when I was in school because I was too busy. Then after I graduated, I had a lot of stuff to go through, but never had the motivation to. It's so difficult to keep up, even with nothing to do. >>;

This looks stunning! I'm always trying to use coloured pencils but it always looks so messy! How on earth do you use them so neatly and beautifully!?
I really love the colours you've used in this one and the character is gorgeous~ The details on the lips, eye and hair are stunning too~ I must practise using coloured pencils >_< I want to be as good as you~~~

aw, thank you ; n ; I've never really used colored pencils the "right" way--I use too much pressure, and I blend with my fingers, haha. I suppose the key is layering!--which, in turn, means that the key is patience...
the paper you're using makes a difference, too; if I try to use my "techniques" on thin paper, I will tear right through it
