Coming up to the end of the first week it was now time for Emily to really get to work with the Englishwoman.

Emma had a green belt in BJJ, the highest belt traditionally held by someone you would call a beginner.

Like any grading system that belt grading didn't mean much.

There were some green belts who could spar competitively with a much higher grade belt. But Emma wasn't one of those green belts ...

When they sparred grappling it was childsplay for BJJ black belted Killer Kiwi to take Emma down and then submit her as she pleased.

In the picture shown Emily is primed to sweep Emma off her feet with a text book double leg takedown.

Emily had just over a week to work with, so she couldn't teach Emma everything.

But then again, Emily reasoned she didn't need to.

The Hope Slayer had K.O. power written all over her ... on her knuckles, the soles of her feet, her kneecaps ... and also on each elbow.

All Emily needed to teach the Englishwoman was enough to defend takedowns, enough to frustrate submission attempts ... enough to struggle free and get back on her feet or even just enough to make it through to the end of the round.

With Emma's physical strength and excellent stamina that was a very achievable proposition.
