I have debated opening a page like this for a while. At first I was considering opening a Patreon/Tipee page, but I don’t think I’m ready (yet). Patreon and Tipee pages can easily turn into full time jobs, and I’m still devoting most of my time to commissions and other jobs at the moment.
Still, as you may know making a living from art is an everyday challenge. I’m always hopping from one job to the next and I barely have time for personal pieces like this one anymore, let alone my bigger projects (my comic project has been on the back burner for years ). If you would like to help me breathe a little and encourage me, please tip me if you enjoy my art !

My entry for this month’s CDChallenge ! The theme is “baroque aristocracy” and I just could not let that one pass without participating
I haven’t seen the movie Marie-Antoinette with Kirsten Dunst but I saw many screencaps of it during my search for references for fashion from that period. It seemed to me like some parts of the movie had a color theme revolving around pastel tones, lush fabrics, dainty cakes... Made me think a bit of Ladurée in a way ! That’s the reason why I went for pastel pinks here

The late southern baroque! ^.^ With some French in there too.
This is amazing. I love the floofy flounciness of it all. There's an argument to be made that there's a strong diagonal in it that's a classic Baroque feature too.

On dirait un gâââteau !
Le film Marie Antoinette n'est pas forcément très historique sur plein de trucs (par exemple ils mangent des macarons "parisiens" — les plus connus de nos jours, fourrés au milieu — alors que ça n'a été créé que fin du XIXe siècle, ceux d'avant n'étaient pas fourrés, moins colorés et plus rugueux) mais il est très sympa à regarder. L'esthétique est un aspect dominant
