Rage pooled through him as his purple eyes caught sight of the bodies, then the cold-blooded killers only seconds later. Somnis hadn't ever imagined his parents would die, and when he saw them fighting cats, he had expected them to win. They were strong cats, the strongest cats in the world, in his mind. They were. He made a choked kind of sound, staggering back a few steps. Maybe...maybe he shouldn't have gone to get help.

Getting help hadn't even been successful, because who was there to ask? Wake up his siblings, and say, 'help me fight the means cats'? No, that only would have gotten them killed too. If I had stayed, and tried to help, would I have been killed too A chill washed over the hybrid, wondering if these cats would have killed him, who was just a cub. Were they going to find his brothers and sisters, and kill them off one by one, too?

I'm not going to let them do that!

Everything that once was, all seemed like a foggy dream. Happiness? Spending time with his family? It was all gone in a blink of an eye, because of the dead bodies lying in front of him. The smell of death nauseated him, and everything seemed to blur. What was this new feeling, making him feel like there was a gaping hole in his chest. This hole could never be filled again, he realized. The only thing that would make thing hole better would be...

His mouth stretched into a snarl, cold eyes blinking to focus onto the killers. They killed them! The small cat let out a screech of rage, staring these cats down, knowing that he had to kill them for what they had done. He would get revenge, and his parents would not die in vain. If it was the last thing he would do, it would be to kill these cats. How could they? What right did they have to do this to him?

Death and anger was still in their eyes, and it slipped Somnis' mind that he was only a cub, and much smaller than them. One was a fully grown snow leopard, and the other a hybrid of some sort. Their claws were sharper, and battle tactics better. He would not stand a chance. Somnis still had to try.

The cheetah hybrid didn't have to do something, because someone had heard his screech of rage. Several cats, wearing strange armor on them, chased after the cats, the two of them were forced to run. Confused muddled his mind, mixing in the other emotions he was feeling. Who were these cats? Were they here to save him, or to kill him too? If they were here to save him, then he would be relieved. Maybe he wouldn't be able to get revenge, but he had started to see reason. The disappearance of the cats made him realize that he couldn't possibly kill them. He would have been easily killed, just as his poor parents had. Blood pooling everywhere, he could see that's what would have happened.

He turned toward to two cats that had stayed behind. Something...something told him that he could trust them. They were out to get the cats who killed his parents. These...were these the good guys?

ahhhh!! poor Somnis, but life will get better. Maybe. No promises.

I'm excited to do more with this boyo, because now I've got a few plots in mind for him, hehe
