I think these are some really neat sketches.
I like the headshot of the guy a lot. I think the shape of his head does a great job of reinforcing the personality we see on his face. His features make me think he has this hard-edged personality, and there's a sharpness to the shape of his head, in the contour of his face, and in how the top of his head kinda curves into this sharp, knife-edged shape.
The ballerinas at the bottom are great! I love how they have such different personalities and emotions. The one on the left seems so nervous; you can see it in her eyes, but also her pose is more stiff, like she's trying to focus on getting the motions down just right. The girl on the left looks much happier, much more playful -- where the other girl is so lost in doing it right, this girl on the right looks like she's dancing because she wants to, and I love how that's reflected in how her pose is more outgoing, more adventuresome. I love how their expressions are reinforced and reflected in their poses.
Great stuff! I love how you make the emotions, personalities and expressions resonate throughout the whole of your drawings -- the expressions don't just stop at the face, you use the whole of the drawing, be it a silhouette of a face or an entire pose, to tell the story about their personalities.
Great sketches. : )
