Wow! Great work! While computer-made works have an appeal of their own, there is just a warmth you get with a really good ink-and-paint job that has a timeless appeal.
Thanks for sharing!

Huh, so did she actually get a second saber? Anyways, I do like the outfit-change, this I could actually take seriously.

You should be watching the Clone Wars. It's the best SW since Empire and I am a Prequel supporter.

You're high. Sorry, but you have to be. The design and animation is brilliant and gets better and better as the show rolls on.

You couldn't be more wrong. If anything, the battles are more ferocious and they swing like they're trying to decapitate each other. As for impossible in real life... IT'S NOT REAL LIFE! Even in the films they did things that couldn't be done in real life.

I know, and that's the thing, in original movies, disbelief could be readily suspended, you couldn't somehow use the force to jump 50 feet into the air due to technological limitations, and it lead to a universe more valid than the prequels: "lets just have some space-ninjas flip out and kill robots to break up the monotony of space-politics"

The problem with the original films use of the Force is it was being used by Old Men. Even Luke wasn't fully tried in it's use. The thing about the Prequels that the haters forget is we get to see the Jedi in FULL Jedi mode.
You can't have the OT without the events of the PT. You can hate on it all you like, but you obviously have no grasp of storytelling. The reality is, even the biggest PT haters KNOW the story is there and works.
The main bitching and complaining is the acting and the thing about that is, they're all great actors but they're Method actors. They want George to tell them how to act... That's NOT his job. He didn't have to tell anyone in ANH how to act.
Add the CW into the mix and it makes the PT even better.

Ehhh... afriad we'll have to agree to disagree there, I can see the reasoning and even accept it for why the powers were comparatively low-key in the original movies (beyond the actual reasons of technological limitations) but I refuse to believe force-powered combat is what makes the jedi great.
I can direct you to a fascinating (yet extensive) review of the phantom menace that covers many of my arguments, and should be entertaining to boot if you like.

Seen them. They're hating for hatings sake. They're not fascinating at all.
Are we done yet?

You don't even know which review I was going to send you too... and if you somehow are thinking about the one I am, there are some extremely valid points that you can't just dismiss as hating.

Thanks! I love the look too. They've aged her a bit too if you look at the character model. Anakin and Obi-Wan are also starting to look more like Ep3 versions, though it's still far off in the timeline.

i like this character. even though the show is on a more whimsical note, it has the concept art style that shouldve been implemented into the latter films. Like the guys who do this show shouldve done the original movies I II III

Hodges-Art In reply to VonEyEzine [2010-12-02 15:24:16 +0000 UTC]
The show hardly is whimsical. It's so Violent they had to push it back an hour.
But you should also know a lot of the designs are inspired by unused stuff from the Prequels as well as far back as the Original films.

VonEyEzine In reply to Hodges-Art [2010-12-03 22:46:51 +0000 UTC]
and thats probably why its good. the movie flopped miserably due to poor representation of the 3rd prequal film, nobody gave it a chance. so it becomes a daybreak cartoon for the kiddies, subject strictly to robotic carnage, which they use to the full, and probably why they had some issues with 'moms against cartoon violence'.

Hodges-Art In reply to VonEyEzine [2010-12-07 23:29:39 +0000 UTC]
I would HARDLY all a movie that cost less then $1 Million to make that grossed over $35 Million at the Box office and 4 times that on DVD and Blu-Ray a flop.
WB did not have a kids film on tap in the late summer of the year of THE DARK KNIGHT, so they asked Lucasfilm if they could release the first story arc as a film. Since the tone of the series gets dark after that first arc, they went with it. It cost Lucasfilm NOTHING to release and they received pretty much 95% of what was made of it.
so... still call it a Flop?

sheesh..... chill
did I call it a flop? I liked it better than the movies ep 123. thought I made that clear, and NO, wasnt aware of those statistics. wasn't trying to play it down, your sounding a little defensive.
